Originally created for a show in the large north end lobby at Alta Bates Hospital, these two pieces have a strong, friendly presence that both enlivens and opens up the space.

A more severe mood pervades the late fall landscape, with hopeful greens just showing through the summer's dry vegetation.

Oaks Near and Far 

 

Three 30" squares framed together to form a panorama of the view from a knoll overlooking Northgate Road in Mount Diablo State Park. Started as a pleinaire piece, it grew the two side panels to reflect the experience of sitting on the slope in the summer grasses.
